CAROLINA & ROMAIN | HALTER RANCH & AVILA BEACH ENGAGEMENT SESSION

I am so glad that Carolina & Romain chose me to take their Halter Ranch & Avila Beach engagement photos! These two are clearly a power couple in so many ways.  I loved getting to know them both better during their session and bless their hearts they were kind enough to laugh and my corny jokes.

Carolina actually lives in Italy! She met Romain (who lives is the US but is from France originally!) while she was working in the states for a year and they fell in love.  They’ve been doing the long distance thing, and oh man is that LONG DISTANCE! Carolina said the longest they’ve gone without being able to hug is 6 months and that was WAY too long! I agree, six months especially when you’re engaged and madly in love and trying to plan a wedding is way too long.

We started this session at the beautiful Halter Ranch in Paso Robles and holy cow guys, it was scorching hot! My thermostat in my car said it was 110!  Let’s just say, I found all the shade that I could because letting a couple get heat stroke doesn’t make a great impression.  After we had some fun in the heat in Paso Robles we headed back down the grade to Avila Beach. I clearly was mistaken when I thought “Oh, it’s a Sunday everyone will have headed home from their weekend vacation by 5 right?!”… WRONG! The beach was busier than I’ve ever seen it and I’ve been going to this beach since I was a little girl.

Carolina & Romain were total troopers though and still rocked their session and were completely adorable, even with an audience of on lookers and kids running through us! I can’t wait to deliver them their full gallery but here are some of my favorites so far!
