ATHENA & TITUS | TEMPLETON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Athena and Titus wedding day was magical but laid back and so much fun. There was no shortage of tears and laughs. There was also no shortage of beautiful photo opportunities. The happy couple said “I do” under a beautifully decorated arch at the 1800 El Pomar venue in Templeton, CA. The Groom and his mother arrived in the Grooms jeep, and the Bride was driven in a beautiful classic car. The Groom couldn’t hold back his emotions when seeing his gorgeous Bride for the first time.
A few of my favorites parts of the day included all of the laughs during the ceremony and the couples first dance. They started off slow but quickly switched things up with a line dance. Which was totally appropriate since line dancing was how the couple first connected. Something else unique about the day was the Bride decorated her own cake! She’s a cake decorator in the real world so it was totally fitting. But, I will say, when she asked Bram to help carry the cake to a table from the fridge and back… I was having mini panic attacks the whole time! My hubs got a very stern “do NOT drop this cake!” from me. He did excellent and the cake survived the short walk. It was a first for us on a wedding day, and Bride’s don’t get any ideas. That was a one time panic inducing moment.
Athena is a Bride that stole my heart this year. We have the unfortunate commonality of losing our Dad’s this year. To pay tribute to her father, after the mother son dance, she played a very moving song on her Dad’s guitar. No one except myself and a few other vendors knew this was happening and the Bride just learned how to play 3 months ago! She did excellent and there were few dry eyes at their reception. It’s moments like these that humble me and remind me how special my job is. I’m not just taking photos, I’m capturing once in a lifetime moments and it’s all I can do to serve my couples and make those moments last a lifetime with photos and video. Thank you Titus and Athena and your sweet families for welcoming us with open arms and allowing us to be part of such a special day.
