MARY & GEORGE | SANTA YNEZ ENGAGEMENT SESSION

I always ask my couples “What are you most excited for on your wedding day”, their answer “EVERYTHING!!”. And I totally get that. These two have been together for more than 7 years. When we got to hang out with them in Santa Ynez to take their engagement photos their easy way with each other shined bright during their whole session. The way they look at each other is one with mutual respect and admiration and is so sweet. When I asked George if he had any knee or back problems before asking him to a lift, he just said “Just tell me what to do!”. He was easily on board with any of my requests and it was well worth it for the beautiful and fun photos we were able to capture.

This engagement session, like all of 2020, didn’t come without the risk of interruption. As we were headed to load up our car, I decided to do a quick scroll on Facebook, and of course a part of Santa Ynez was being evacuated due to a fire. I made Abraham check the status of the fire every 5 minutes as we headed there and luckily the fire fighters were able to knock it out before we even arrived! And I am so grateful for that.

We started their engagement session at Mary’s parents adorable Inn, For Friends Inn, and took advantage of the beautiful landscaping there.

I’ve been seeing beautiful tall grass everywhere for months and not been able to use any of it, so when we got to our second location, Kalyra Winery, I practically squealed at the beautiful tall grass.

Enjoy these photos of the two lovebirds, I can’t wait for their wedding day.
