CASS WINERY WEDDING | ASHLEY & SCOTT

Okay, I’m going to do my best not to get too emotional in this blog post, but it’s gonna be hard! I am feeling all the feels after shooting Ashley & Scott’s Cass Winery wedding! Ashley and Scott contacted me just a few months ago about planning for their wedding and when they found out I also offered photo and video, they said “yes” to all of it! We started off strong by meeting up just a few days later for their engagement session. Fun little tid bit, right before we left for their engagement session was when we found out our offer had been accepted on the house we now live in!

We spent the next few months planning their wedding with a few zoom calls, dozens of emails and so many text messages! We weren’t always all business though, there was the occasional meme and emoji thrown in! When you spend this much time getting to know a couple and helping them plan their wedding day you get even more attached than normal and I am going to miss our zoom calls SO STINKING MUCH! I’m already dropping them hints that we will be coming to visit them at some point! lol.

Now, let’s talk about how wonderful this couples day was. It started for me when I woke up to the sweetest email from the Groom in a small panic about how to print out his letter to his Bride. After assuring him I could get it all handled and making sure all was going well at the venue I went and hung out with the Bride and her friends and family. The atmosphere in the Bridal suite was exactly what I expected; calm, relaxed with a buzz of energy and love for this couple. They’re an easy couple to love!

After their first look and a few photos, their ceremony started! Ashley and Scott wrote the sweetest personal vows and both got a little choked up, one maybe a little more than the other but I’ll let you guess who! Because we’re getting more into winter and we’ve had the time change, it’s not uncommon for the portrait time after the ceremony to be golden hour! It made it even easier to get some gorgeous shots of these two after they were pronounced Husband and Wife! I am obsessed with how beautifully classic they look together. The fun didn’t stop there though, after an epic first dance and incredibly delicious dinner we stole the couple away for a few private night photos!

It’s one of my favorite things about fall and winter weddings, instead of stealing them away for sunsets, we steal them away to play with light and sparklers! After we were done making them model for us they danced the night away with their friends and family. It was a truly beautiful, romantic and wonderful wedding day. Made all the more special by a couple I will cherish forever. Congrats again Ashley & Scott and thank you again for letting me be a small part of your day!
