CALIFORNIA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | BEST OF 2021
Hey y’all! It’s your favorite California wedding photographer here. Ready to reminisce about the past year.
Some may say, “it’s already January 19th and she’s just now posting her best of?”. But I say “It’s ONLY January 19th and I’m already posting my best of!” If you know me, you know.
2021 was a whirlwind of a year.
We shot 26 weddings this year, in 6 different counties, countless different cities and only repeating one venue. We met and fostered relationships with some of the coolest people, had our first successful year running The Mitchells Weddings, our new planning/coordination business, and bought a bunch of fun new camera toys. All while purchasing our first home and remodeling it ourselves. We’re not quite done with that project, but hey, we have doors on all the bedrooms now and two mostly functional bathrooms.
I am beyond blessed by the success we’ve seen and even more grateful for the friendships we’ve made along the way. This year’s best of post has more than 100 images in it and when I say it was a struggle to not include more photos I mean it! I wanted to include so many many more. There were so many moments that meant so much to me. There were so many images that, not to be braggy, but I am so stinking proud of. I really have been trying to push and challenge myself. I’ve also been trying to push the hubs because he is so dang talented too! In absolutely no particular order, here is just a glimpse at some of my favorite shots from 2021.
this is probably one of my favorite black and whites of the year! it’s giving me old hollywood vibes!
we can’t always do photos of all your guests at once, but we can, it’s epic!
my Husband can now give you all kinds of historical facts about this venue!
this ceremony wins the award for the most laughs AND the most tears
but this ceremony is a very close second for all the laughs and tears!!!
this is the moment I reminded the Groom about that time I made him get in the cold ocean …
getting to photograph these two as they walked to their venue was so. much. fun.
one of my favorite cake toppers of the year for sure
